Bubble Twist - Review
Looking for a simply, yet entertaining game for your Windows Phone? Like the Bubble Burst styled games but wish they did more? Check out Bubble Twist over at the Market.
Bubble Twist puts a twist on your traditional lined, chimera bursting games. The object remains the same; group three or more of the same colored bubbles. But the playing field rotates.
I wasn't exactly sure what to look when Chimera Twist was downloaded. To see if I was pleasantly surprised, follow the break.
Game Layout
The main menu for Bubble Twist gives yous the customary settings and leaderboard options. The settings cover establishing your player proper noun (for the leaderboard) along with music/audio effects level. The High Scores covers both local scores and an online leaderboard.
The game screen is simple, up meridian (from left to correct) you accept your score/level info, your shooter, personal high score and a countdown graphic (more than on this in a second). To the center of the screen is your playing field that has a hexagonal shaped group of colored beads that spins.
Game Play
As mentioned, the object is to group three or more beads/assurance of the same colour. You reach this by shooting additional balls on to the playing field. You tin touch/hold to aim your placement or just tap on the screen where yous hope the brawl will land.
If yous shoot the new ball towards the corner of the hexagon, information technology volition rotate ever so slightly. Yous can also bank shots off the sides and bottom of the screen. Every bit you create the groups of three or more, the assurance will disappear. Naturally, the goal is to make all the assurance disappear and if at any signal the playing fields of assurance touches the edge of the screen, it'due south game over.
Remember that countdown graphic? If you identify a new ball into play and it doesn't result in a grouping of three or more than, one of those dark-green balls disappear. When all of the lilliputian green balls disappear, your playing field is populated with more assurance. This gives the game a petty bit of an uphill challenge, equally if the rotating playing field wasn't plenty.
Overall Impression
There are games out in that location for your Windows Telephone that takes a little getting used to. The more you play, the more than the game grows on yous. Chimera Twist is i of those games.
It's challenging enough and progressively addictive. It does take a lilliputian fourth dimension to detect a tactic that works and while challenging, it's not impossible.
The game ran stable with no glitches or bugs experienced. It is a free game (ad supported) so you won't be out anything to give information technology a endeavour.
You can notice Bubble Twist hither (opens Zune) at the Market.
